Crystal Vision Technology’s CVT9604E-3010W Wireless Surveillance System Review
The purpose of CCTV is to be a visual assessment and documentation tool. There are three reason to use CCTV in a security program:
- Record visual information about something that has occurred.
- Record visual information about something that is occurring.
- Act as a deterrent for undesirable activity in the area being recorded.
There are two types of video surveillance systems which are analog and digital. Currently analog is fading away as digital systems are becoming the systems of choice. Digital video systems have three main parts: the camera, digital electronic signal carrier, and PC with viewing and recording software.
Crystal Vision Technology’s CVT9604E-3010W wireless surveillance system incorporates these components into one standalone plug and play system. The system comes in a 4CH or 8CH NVR with built-in router and a 2TB Seagate HD (90 Days of Recording). This standalone system runs on a Linux OS and comes with a 10.1” built-in screen that can rotate 360 degrees. It also has HDMI ports with allows for easy output on a TV. The system is also capable of remote viewing from Android devices, Apple devices, and PC with an internet connection. The cameras come already synced to the NVR and when powered on will become visible on output device within 10-30 seconds. Cameras are also equipped with IR for clear video in low light.
The downside to the system is the camera must be plugged into a wall outlet to be operational. If placement of camera is not near an outlet don’t worry the company also makes cable extenders, and signal booster and bridges. The Crystal Vision CVT9604E-3010W Wireless Surveillance System is an affordable surveillance that is great for home security or small business that cannot afford a larger system. I use the 4CH system as a backup/temporary fix for when a camera goes down or if the network goes down. Installing of this product is easy and requires a few tools and cables can be hidden using a cable management kit. This system works perfectly to achieve all three goal of CCTV, and I would recommend this product for an affordable home system or backup/temporary fix for when your system goes out.
